How do you replace the bulbs in your Philips Sunmobile?

Replacing the light bulbs in your Philips Sunmobile might sound difficult, but don't worry! It's not that complicated. In this step-by-step guide, we'll do it together. This way, you'll have the lights working again quickly, and you can enjoy the wonderful sunshine your Sunmobile offers once again.

What do you need?

  • New tanning bed lamps for the Philips Sunmobile (make sure you have the correct replacement lamps). Almost all Philips Sunmobile tanning beds use the iSOLde Licht CLEO HPA 400S lamps. If this isn't the lamp that came with your tanning bed, you probably need the iSOLde Licht CLEO HPA Flexpower 400-600 . Always check which lamps you need first; the easiest way to do this is to see which lamps are currently in your tanning bed.
  • A screwdriver (usually a Phillips screwdriver)
  • Possibly a cloth to clean your hands

Step 1: Turn off the Sunmobile. Before you begin, it's crucial to turn the Sunmobile off completely. Unplug the power cord and ensure the sunbed has completely cooled down. Safety first!

Step 2: Remove the glass plate from the lamp using 6 screws
Please be careful that the glass plate does not fall and break. Without this glass plate you cannot use the sunbed.

Step 3: Remove the old bulb. Once the glass plate is off, you'll see the old bulb(s). Carefully remove them by pressing the bulb toward one side of the base. The side that's not pressing into the base will now release, and you can then remove the bulb from the base.

Step 4: Install the new bulb . Now take the new Philips Sunmobile bulb. It's best not to touch the bulb with your bare hands, as oil from your skin can damage it or interfere with its operation. It's helpful to use a cloth when handling the bulb, or to hold the bulb by the pinched end. Carefully insert the new bulb into the holder, ensuring it's securely fastened.

Step 5: Replace the cover. Once the new bulb is properly positioned, replace the Sunmobile's cover. Tighten the screws firmly to secure the cover and protect the bulbs.

Step 6: Turn the Sunmobile back on. Now that you've replaced everything, you can plug it back in or turn on the power. Turn the Sunmobile on and check if the new lamp is working properly. The sunbed must be in its normal operating position for this to work. You should now be able to enjoy the sun's rays again!
